What a difference a year makes!
As we mark the one-year anniversary of our partnership with the University of South Florida (USF), we look back with tremendous pride at all the remarkable progress we’ve made in our collective efforts over the past year. This partnership, marked by a new paradigm of industry engagement, has sparked significant momentum and fostered meaningful growth for USF’s School of Risk Management and Insurance, now renamed the Baldwin Risk Partners School of Risk Management and Insurance (BRP RMI).
Our partnership with USF has enabled the BRP RMI program to achieve impressive progress since the August 2022 announcement. Notable achievements include increased enrollment in the BRP RMI majors and minors, the creation of various RMI collateral, and heightened awareness and exposure to the insurance sector. The partnership has also provided significant hands-on experiences for USF students, providing them with direct access to our BRP colleagues who, along with their professional colleagues across the industry, will have the opportunity to serve as Subject Matter Experts in various RMI-related classrooms and internship opportunities.
Additionally, BRP joined the Muma College of Business (MCOB) Executive Advisory Council, the BRP NASDAQ Ticker was displayed on MCOB video boards, and USF became the only Association of American Universities (AAU) RMI school in the state upon joining the Association of American Universities.
This collaboration continues to generate a wealth of exciting opportunities and outcomes for all involved. As we consider the many accomplishments of our first year working together, we remain steadfast in our dedication to building lasting, mutually beneficial relationships, and collaborating with the best and brightest minds across industries.
The joint efforts of these two leading organizations have helped foster a growing ecosystem of opportunity and innovation, driving meaningful impact and progress for the next generation of industry talent.
In anticipation of the future, USF and BRP share a common goal of making the RMI school among the top 10 RMI schools in the country. Our first target is to have 100 students enrolled as RMI majors, but more significantly, we intend to establish a reputation for producing the most accomplished and well-equipped graduates in the industry.
We’re thrilled with the progress we’ve made over the past year and are only inspired to continue our efforts towards positive change and development in the RMI industry. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in this fantastic partnership, including the combined efforts of USF’s faculty leadership and our BRP thought leaders.
