Supporting the next generation of risk managers

Working to close the gap

The insurance industry has seen a pronounced talent gap over the past 15 years, with employees aged 55 and older rising 30% higher than similar industries and only 25% of the insurance workforce aged 35 and under, as reported by the International Risk Management Institute in 2019.

Recognizing the increasing need to train and develop new talent, The Baldwin Group and the Baldwin family made a transformative $5.2 million donation to the USF School of Risk Management and Insurance in 2022. This commitment underscores their dedication to advancing the industry and supporting the next generation of risk management and insurance professionals

Building a future generation of risk management dreamers

The Baldwin Group School of Risk Management and Insurance, housed within the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida, stands out as one of only two Florida universities offering degree programs in risk management and insurance. Watch to see how the school is focused on becoming a premier destination for education and innovation in risk and insurance.

“We’re proud to support the risk management discipline through this partnership to develop a world-class educational program. This investment will broaden awareness of the diversity of career options available within this field of study and fuel the next generation of industry leaders.”
